Kevin Klinkenberg is a Fellow with the Knight Program in Community Building through the University of Miami, and is a member of the Congress for the New Urbanism. His 15 years of professional experience, include participation on charrettes with Duany, Plater-Zyberk & Company, Dover/Kohl and many of the founders of the CNU. Kevin has become a regional authority on planning and urban design, sitting on committees for the Mid America Regional Council, the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City, and the Housing Choices Coalition. He is a frequent speaker on urban design, and in 2003 wrote a column for the Kansas City Star under "Midwest Voices". His volunteer activities include serving on the board of CUBE (Center for Understanding the Built Environment), the Urban Society of Kansas City, the Valentine Neighborhood Association and Westside Housing Organization. Kevin is also involved with setting new standards for context-sensitive transportation policy through the CNU.
